Inspiration for planning your wedding during this world wide COVID 19 Pandemic.
Americans are learning more and more on how to keep their lives moving while staying healthy during this Covid -19 pandemic. The world changed before our eyes and people are still adapting to an “up in the air” life style. It seems harder to plan a daily agenda, as well as plan for our future ever since the world is becoming more and more unpredictable each day. What is beautiful about the human brain, is that it evolves. With the expectation of change, while using logic, love, and faith, this pandemic and change of life-style can be very manageable and hopefully beneficial to anyone who keeps these qualities.
When I think of planning a wedding, I sometimes think about movies and tv shows. If you watch the show Friends and are familiar with Monica, then you can imagine how involved planning has to be to make sure that day is picture perfect…then your husband forgets the cameras and your pictures are now lost. Yet, we somehow still love our man. Monica had a full binder, organized and detailed from venues, to center pieces, invitations, down to what store she would find her perfectly priced dress. Planning a wedding on your own can almost take over your whole being. During this pandemic proposes it can be more of a challenge if you let it.
People today are not the first to wed another during a pandemic. The 14th Century Plague known as the Black Death, created upheavals of different kinds throughout the world. This is very similar to what is happening today. There are some beautiful Bubonic Plague wedding pictures which brings our Covid19 wedding planners and couples some hope. Challenges fall to the wayside or become easy to overcome when there is a common interest that we all can focus on.
Keeping what is most important to our hearts and souls is pertinent to coming out of this pandemic thriving instead of recovering. Love is the magic of life and should be the light at the end of the tunnel if you find yourself in an upheaval while planning your wedding during this tough time. You may find yourself not knowing where to begin or stuck in a rough spot when it comes to specifics about planning. Whether you are just beginning to plan your wedding, stressed or simply stuck, remember that your dream wedding is very achievable and it only takes scheduling and crossing things off your to-do list. If you focus on one part of your wedding’s to-do list, the people you hire and meet will also open doors to help you check even more things off of your list. Each day becoming less about wedding planning and more about feeling grateful that you get to have the wedding of your dreams with the person who you get to love forever.
One of my dearest friends faced many challenges planning her wedding during this pandemic. The date that the couple set was the date that they first met each other. That date was very important to keep as an anniversary. So pushing the wedding back another year was not an option for this eager loving couple. With not knowing if her father could walk her down the isle because of social distancing reasons, and her father facing death twice during the quarantine months, she still was blessed with the wedding that she and the love she shares with her now husband deserves. She had to come to a decision that a beautiful backyard fairytale procured wedding was the best choice for her and her family. While it was her dream to be married in a church, like her family before her, she was able to keep focus and check off her to-do list and evolve her wedding with hope. Due to safety reasons and Covid precautions, the church wedding wouldn’t of matched the expectation of her dreams. She still wanted beautiful pictures, flowers, decorations, and time for family to be together and speak upon her love. This family takes their leisurely time to enjoy the ride with everything in life, so a rushed, limited church wedding simply would not do.
Being grateful for what is beautiful in our lives is key to evolving with learning a new lifestyle during this pandemic. Recognizing what is important, keeping that focus, and making moves will sail you through the waves of wedding planning during Covid-19. There is so much that is going to go right on your special day that it would be foolish to let any stress get in the way of what is supposed to be a joyous experience. Enjoy the journey into your ever evolving life and allow others to help you. Get excited that another part of your wedding is running smoothly every time you check something off of your wedding to do list. A few more checks and you did it! Happy planning and congratulations on your love and new abundant life.
