This past weekend some friends and I got together for Truffle’s Brewery Tour. We visited some local breweries, like American Craft Ale Works, Steam Horse Brewery and Oooka Pow Brewery, for a little artisan beer tasting…then we all gathered at my place where I whipped up my delicious guacamole dip. It was truly a fun Saturday spent with good company! Keep scrolling for my easy guacamole recipe.
I love a good guacamole. It is filled with healthy fats and more potassium than a banana. In fact, avocados are higher in potassium than banana’s and sweet potatoes.
Ingredients:
2 Avocados
Fresh Lime Juice from half a lime
Dices Roma Tomato
1-1/2 Tablespoons Chopped Cilantro
Pinch of Sea Salt and Black Pepper
1 Tablespoon Sour Cream
1/4 Red Onion Diced
Garlic Powder to Taste
Vicious V’s Hot Sauce to Taste (I had just enough left)
Add avocado, lime juice, seasoning, hot sauce, garlic and sour cream to a medium bowl and mash together. Fold in onions. Add to serving dish and top with cilantro and tomatoes. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy! Be sure to check back for my Summer of Fun healthy party mix recipe.
