Since moving to Florida the subject of my art has transitioned into tropical themed watercolors. When living in Massachusetts my medium was either charcoal or oils. I would compose paintings that reflect my love of music and oil still life’s in the classic style of the Renaissance period.
In the past several years my focus has been primarily on tropical watercolor artworks. When living in Worcester I studied watercolor art at the Worcester Art Museum and while earning my Bachelor’s at the AI. Since moving to Florida I have studied under two of the best watercolor artists in this area. Peggy Strathdee Kirkwood and Fernando Porras …both local artist who are famous for their watercolor art. I combine my fine art with my expertise in graphic design to produce postcards, greeting cards and wedding stationery. It has been a truly rewarding experience that I enjoy sharing with others.
These days most of my inspiration is gained from local surroundings in the Palm Beach County area. Recently I visited the Mounts Botanical Gardens in West Palm Beach where I was inspired to create a series of postcards using my unique watercolor paintings. These designs will be added to my digital portfolio along with my watercolor prints and wedding stationery that I can showcase when visiting boutiques and gift shops.
